Why is Diamond merging with another Finance Broker?

I have been operating Diamond for the past five years and working in the finance industry for over 18 years. I’ve had a blast growing the business and helping my clients do extraordinary things.

As the business has grown, so too have my clients’ needs. This merger will allow me to focus on the areas of the business where I can make the greatest impact for clients, while Aussiewide’s team of experts take care of everything else. It’s the best and most transparent way to continue helping you to reach your goals, now and in the long run.

Why did I choose Aussiewide?

I started Diamond in 2015 and my focus has always been on helping my clients achieve long-term financial success.

For the past year, I’ve been considering ways to continue this impact as the business grows. Over that time I’ve been keeping an ear to the ground to find a business owner who shares the same professional values and high standards to me.

I found that in Scott McDonald, Aussiewide’s owner and director. I’ve known Scott for many years. Over that time, it has always been apparent that he and I share similar values in business and in life.

Will I still trade as Diamond?

For the immediate future, yes. I have relocated to Aussiewide’s office at 255 Moorabool Street, Geelong.

To reduce confusion, you’ll still receive correspondence from my Diamond email address, my phone number will stay the same, and any information that I share will be co-branded as “Diamond, powered by Aussiewide”. If you need to find us online, the Diamond website will be redirected to Aussiewide’s website.

In the longer term, Diamond will become Aussiewide. My goal here is to make this transition as clear and seamless as possible.

Do I recommend you use Aussiewide moving forward?

Of course! I will remain very much involved and active at Aussiewide. Everyone here understands the structures and strategies I’ve used to maximise your finances. Other brokers may not. And if they don’t, they could make changes that are counterproductive to your long term wealth and finance.

How will these changes affect you moving forward?

In the immediate future, nothing will change. If you have any questions about your finances, you can contact me directly.

As I mentioned previously, I’m not going anywhere. I just have a different roof over my head. But you will have the added benefit of more support, expertise and resources working on your file.

How will Aussiewide communicate with me?

They’ll communicate with you in the same way that I always have – by email or phone. We’re also working on a new email newsletter to keep you up to date with what’s happening in the property market. It’s our way of sharing market updates, news about government incentives for property buyers, RBA interest rate announcements and other useful resources. (Note: you’ll have full control over your communication preferences.)

Does Aussiewide’s service and advice cost anything?

Using a Aussiewide typically costs you absolutely nothing.

As with Diamond, banks may pay your broker a commission that they otherwise would have allocated towards marketing and advertising.

You will usually get a much better deal this way, because unlike banks, Aussiewide are not limited to the loan products of any single lender.

In special circumstances a fee may be charged, however you will always been advised before proceeding with any lender recommendation.

Where are Aussiewide’s offices located?

That’s where you can find me.

However, they service clients Australia wide – hence the name :o)

And of course – as we learned in 2020 – everything can be done via Zoom.

Is Aussiewide really as good as Diamond?

Yes. Nothing is more important to me right now than making sure you remain in safe hands. Over the past couple of years, I’ve gone through painstaking lengths to find the right partner. I know and trust Scott and his team immensely.

Moreover, they’ve attracted more five-star client reviews than any other independent broker in their area by a huge margin. So, my opinion aside, their clients are over the moon with their service.

Will I be able to access the same variety of loans and lenders with Aussiewide?

Yes, nothing will change here. Aussiewide have access to +40 lenders and hundreds of loan products.
